“Man in the Prompt” Browser Attack: What You Need to Know

A new kind of cyberattack has been discovered called “Man in the Prompt.” It sounds like a thriller title, but it’s a real threat.

What’s happening?
A company called LayerX found that browser extensions (those little tools you install in Chrome, Firefox, etc.) can secretly access what you type into AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and others.

Younger Americans Are Leading the AI Boom—Here’s What They’re Using It For

A new AP-NORC poll reveals a growing generational divide when it comes to artificial intelligence. While 60% of U.S. adults say they’ve used AI to search for information, it’s adults under 30 who are going far beyond search—using AI tools to brainstorm, plan meals, draft emails, and even assist with work tasks like coding or image editing.

In fact, nearly 74% of young adults report using AI to find information at least some of the time. And when it comes to generating ideas, 60% of that group turns to AI, compared to just 20% of adults over 60. Elon Musk Confirms $16.5 Billion Tesla Chip Deal with Samsung

Elon Musk has announced that Tesla and Samsung Electronics have entered into a $16.5 billion chip deal, sending ripples through both tech and financial markets. The deal, which had been previously hinted at by Samsung but kept under wraps due to client confidentiality, will see Samsung manufacture Tesla’s upcoming AI6 chips at its new facility in Taylor, Texas.

Samsung’s stock jumped nearly 7% following the announcement—its highest since September of last year—while Tesla shares also edged up in U.S. premarket trading.

“This is a critical point,” Musk wrote on X. “I will walk the line personally to accelerate the pace of progress.” He also hinted that the actual value of the deal may far exceed the initial $16.5 billion estimate, calling it “just the bare minimum.” Continue reading Elon Musk Confirms $16.5 Billion Tesla Chip Deal with Samsung

Similarweb Launches GenAI Intelligence Toolkit to Track AI Chatbot Visibility and Traffic

In a major leap forward for digital marketers, Similarweb has unveiled its new GenAI Intelligence Toolkit, a powerful analytics suite that helps brands track how they’re appearing across AI chatbots—and how much traffic those mentions are driving. As generative AI continues to reshape how people discover products and information online, tools like this are quickly becoming essential.

What It Does

The Toolkit gives brands a full-funnel view of AI-driven visibility. It doesn’t just show whether you’re being mentioned in responses from ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Copilot, and Perplexity—it also tracks whether those mentions actually lead to site visits, and how that traffic compares to competitors’. Nepal Quietly Becomes a Global Leader in EV Adoption, Surpassing 75% Market Share

While global attention often gravitates toward electric vehicle adoption in the U.S., Europe, and China, the small Himalayan nation of Nepal has quietly staged one of the most dramatic electric transitions in the world. According to a new report from The New York Times, 76% of all new passenger vehicles and 50% of light commercial vehicles sold in Nepal over the past year were electric—a figure nearly four times the global average.

The reasons for Nepal’s rapid electrification are as surprising as they are strategic. Following a 2015 fuel crisis with India, Nepal accelerated development of its hydropower infrastructure, capitalizing on the rivers that flow from the Himalayas. Today, nearly all of the country’s electricity is clean, domestic, and renewable, giving Nepal a rare energy advantage in the region.

Paired with aggressive import tax reforms—with EVs taxed as low as 40%, compared to 180% for internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles—EVs have become not only cleaner but also cheaper. In many cases, an electric Hyundai SUV now costs less than its gasoline equivalent. Continue reading Nepal Quietly Becomes a Global Leader in EV Adoption, Surpassing 75% Market Share

Microsoft Issues Emergency Patch as SharePoint Vulnerability Leads to High-Profile Breaches

Microsoft has released an emergency security update to address a critical zero-day vulnerability in its SharePoint Server platform, following reports that the flaw is being actively exploited by hackers to infiltrate government, academic, and energy-sector systems across the U.S. and abroad.

The vulnerability, now identified as CVE-2025-53770, affects on-premises SharePoint servers and is not present in Microsoft 365 or SharePoint Online. According to Microsoft’s advisory, the flaw is a variation of a previously patched issue, CVE-2025-49706, which was believed to have been fixed in the company’s July 8 update. However, new exploitation techniques have rendered that patch incomplete. Continue reading Microsoft Issues Emergency Patch as SharePoint Vulnerability Leads to High-Profile Breaches

Netflix Confirms First Use of GenAI Footage in Original Programming

In a milestone moment for the entertainment industry, Netflix has confirmed that it is now actively using generative AI in the production of its original films and series. During the company’s Q2 earnings call on Thursday, co-CEO Ted Sarandos revealed that the platform delivered its first-ever final GenAI-rendered scene in an upcoming Argentine show titled El Eternauta (The Eternaut).

The scene, which depicts a collapsing building, was created in partnership between Netflix’s in-house production team and the show’s producers. According to Sarandos, using GenAI tools allowed the visual effects team to complete the scene ten times faster and at a significantly lower cost than traditional methods.

“We remain convinced that AI represents an incredible opportunity to help creators make films and series better, not just cheaper,” Sarandos said. “This is real people doing real work with better tools.” Continue reading Netflix Confirms First Use of GenAI Footage in Original Programming
